Imagine kicking it in Neil Finn's studio for a week with a handful of internationally acclaimed songwriters, with the sole purpose of creating music. It could sound too good to be true – but in fact it sounds a lot like Apra's SongHubs initiative.
For three years Apra's brought 15 international guests to Auckland, connected them with more than 70 New Zealand and Australian writers and producers, and witnessed the creation of over 80 original songs.
This year we were fortunate enough to spread some love, and bring a coffee fix here and there to the participants, along with guests Maize Olinger, Nate Campany, and Jenna Andrews.
Keep your eyes The impressive list of SongHubs releases includes 'Kind of Love' by Maala, 'Addict' by Louis Baker, 'All The Ways to Say Goodbye' by Mitch James, and 'Pitch Dark' by Chelsea Jade.
