Events & Social Media Manager

 

The role:  
We have an exciting opportunity to join our tight-knit team leading the brand’s digital presence and events activity. 

Your understanding of the Atomic Coffee Roasters brand voice, identity and values will be key, as will your ability to manage a variety of stakeholders. 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Manage the Atomic website and social media platforms 
  • Ensure a cohesive brand voice is maintained across all digital communication
  • Curate, coordinate and create social media content 
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, comments and business inquiries
  • Report on key social media metrics
  • Own the Atomic internal and external communications program
  • Identify key events to attend/sponsor that are a good fit for the brand
  • Project manage all Atomic events  
  • Provide marketing support to our four Atomic owned sites and national wholesale network  
  • Provide support for packaging and product NPD projects
  • Collaborate successfully with suppliers, media, content and agency partners
  • An energetic self-starter, with the desire to take ownership and responsibility for projects. A doer.
  • Able to work autonomously and part of a team  
  • An organiser with great time management  
  • An excellent communicator  
  • Interested in the arts, music and coffee

  • Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign  
  • Graphic design or illustration capability
  • Experience managing social media accounts to a high level  
  • An interest or ability in photography  
  • Demonstrated copywriting capability for EDMs and social media
  • Ability to demonstrate creative thinking

Coffee Roaster and Production Assistant 

 

The role:

No experience necessary - we're looking for someone who is hardworking, likes a laugh and is eager to learn. 

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday:

  • Operate our Loring Kestrel coffee roaster
  • Attend regular QA cupping sessions
  • Ensure there is adequate stock levels of all packaging and accessories
  • Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to replenish stock
  • Receipt and manage storage of all inwards goods
  • Ensure all customer orders  are picked and packed each day
  • Ensure timely delivery of all orders within the Auckland region as per the agreed delivery schedule
  • Provide additional customer support when making weekly deliveries

- Wants a career in coffee
- Able to operate autonomously and is a team player
- Has a full drivers license (motor cycle license a bonus but not required)
- Is customer service focused
- Is physically fit

Baristas  

Rocket Store:

We are on the lookout for friendly legend to join our family at The Rocket Store on Ponsonby Rd, this store is run by Atomic Coffee Roasters.  It has two sides to it.  It's an espresso bar where we sling tasty Atomic brews but it is also a Rocket Espresso machine store where we sell and service Rockets, one of the leading home espresso machines available on the market.  

Primarily we are looking for a barista but we are also looking to educate this person in all things coffee machines/Rockets.  This is unique role that doesn't come up very often.  Two of our current technicians at Atomic come from this role so huge growth potential for the right person.  

Ideally someone who is hospitable, engaged in building relationships with our customers, and just someone with a great attitude and wants to learn more about coffee and machinery.

This is a full-time position, working alternating days between Monday to Sunday.

Shortland St Espresso Bar:

We are on the lookout for friendly legend to join our family at Atomic Coffee Roasters at our CBD espresso bar located on Shortland st. Atomic have been roasting, preparing and celebrating specialty coffee for 30 years.  

Coffee is the heart of the business but we love everything hospitality so we are on the lookout for someone that thrives in a busy cafe setting.  Ideally someone who is hospitable, engaged in building relationships with our customers, and just someone with a great attitude and wants to learn more about coffee.  

On a day to day basis you will:

·       Work alongside barista team to ensure that we sling out tasty brews every day of the week.

·       Work behind the till and be an absolute legend for all our lovely customers

·       Develop strong relationships with co-workers, customers and inspire a positive working and café environment.

·       Be part of our training programs and progress your knowledge and your career within Atomic and beyond! 

What we are looking for:

·       Someone who has a genuine love for coffee and the hospitality industry and is eager to learn more.
·       A positive and motivated team member, who supports those around them.
·       Understanding or willingness to learn in all areas of preparation: brewing, espresso, latte art
·       This is role is 5 shifts a week Monday to Friday. NO WEEKENDS!  Approximately 20-25 hours a week.
