Head Coffee Roaster

    Join the team at one of NZ's iconic coffee roasters.  The role is a balance between roasting, project work, QA and shared production responsibilities, with the opportunity to grow and learn with some of NZ's top coffee talent.

    Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Head Roaster you will:

    • take ownership of data collection, roast profiling and QA
    • monitor and maintain the quality of all roasted coffee
    • support the Production Manager in green bean purchasing
    • regularly assess pre-ship coffee for purchasing
    • lead single origin program
    • support an ambitious NPD program

    As a member of our Dispatch/Roasting team you will:

    • roast coffee at a production level
    • help with bagging, packing, sending and delivering coffee
    • be computer competent
    • help with stock management

    We're after someone who:

    • has a love for coffee
    • has experience either as a barista or ideally as a coffee roaster
    • is a self-starter, results driven, and customer focused
    • positive, outgoing, confident and motivated
    • is able to work autonomously and part of a team
    • is a good communicator
    • has excellent organisation and time management
    • has a full drivers license
    • is physically fit

    Production & Roasting Assistant

      Do you want to develop your knowledge and skills to become a professional coffee roaster?

      No experience necessary - we're looking for someone who is hardworking, likes a laugh and is eager to learn.

      This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday:

      • Operate our Loring Kestrel coffee roaster
      • Attend regular QA cupping sessions
      • Ensure there is adequate stock levels of all packaging and accessories
      • Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to replenish stock
      • Receipt and manage storage of all inwards goods
      • Ensure all customer orders are picked and packed each day
      • Ensure timely delivery of all orders within the Auckland region as per the agreed delivery schedule
      • Provide additional customer support when making weekly deliveries

      We're after someone who:

      - Wants a career in coffee
      - Able to operate autonomously and is a team player
      - Has a full drivers license
      - Is customer service focused
      - Is physically fit

      Account Manager

        We are seeking an Account Manager to join the Atomic Coffee Roasters team - someone who is hungry to grow with a growing business.

        This is an additional head count, full-time, working Monday to Friday.

        Reporting to the National Sales Manager, as the Account Manager you will:

        • contribute to achieving gross sales and profit
        • develop new business
        • maintain customer relationships, call plans and promotional activity
        • network and build relationships within the hospitality industry
        • educate and motivate customers to become Atomic brand ambassadors
        • train customers to ensure each Atomic cup of coffee is prepared and served to the highest possible standard
        • some out of town travel (overnight) and weekend work will be required from time to time

        We're after someone who:

        • has a love for coffee
        • a self-starter, results driven, and customer focused
        • positive, outgoing, confident and motivated
        • able to work autonomously and part of a team
        • strong sales experience ideally gained through the hospitality industry
        • excellent sales and negotiation skills
        • a good communicator
        • a robust commercial approach
        • good at organisation and time management
        • has a full drivers license
