Customers should know where roasters buy their beans from. From farm to retail, our coffee beans are carefully sourced. So, what exactly does ethically sourced coffee guarantee?

Fair price: Farmers receive a fair price for their harvest. They are also often assured of a minimum sustainable price for their coffee.

Fair labour conditions: Workers on farms are entitled to safe working conditions and fair wages. Forced child labour is strictly prohibited.

Direct trade: Coffee importers purchase as directly as possible from producer groups. This allows farmers to compete in the global marketplace.

Environmental sustainability: Harmful agrochemicals and GMOs are prohibited and environmentally sustainable farming methods are ensured to protect farmers' health and preserve valuable ecosystems for future generations.

Environmental management: Water conservation, careful waste disposal and prohibitions on planting in protected areas are often part of the management systems. Farmers also attempt to protect the land and wildlife habitat by improving soil fertility.

Community development: Farmers and their workers invest premiums in social and business development such as; healthcare services, scholarship programs and farming quality training.

Coffee is produced in some of the world’s least wealthy nations, which makes the need for fair farming incredibly important. Without it the most important people, farmers and farm workers might be exploited and taken advantage of. We source our coffee very carefully and have direct contact with the farmers who grow it.
